I recently undertook a comprehensive wireless network upgrade for a premium client having a large house of 4 floors with basement, facing challenges with an aging infrastructure. As client has added new smart tv’s, smart devices, and upgraded their mobile phones which work on WiFi 6 technology, so the client’s key concerns revolved around enhancing network performance, increasing capacity, and staying abreast of the latest technological advancements. to meet their requirements, This case study delves into the objectives, solutions implemented, and the positive outcomes achieved through the upgrade.
Client Overview:
Our esteemed client, with an old wifi wireless network, sought improvements in performance, capacity, and compatibility with evolving technologies. I proposed an extensive upgrade, replacing 8 existing devices and adding 2 more Unifi U6 LR WiFi 6 devices to cover few dead zones. The deployment also included a D-LINK 24 Port POE+ Switch and a old Unifi Cloud Key V3 for efficient network management.

D-LINK 24 Port POE+ Switch:
- Installed a D-LINK 24 Port POE+ Switch for efficient and centralized power delivery to Unifi U6 LR devices.
- Enhanced network reliability and reduced cable clutter through Power over Ethernet (PoE) functionality.
- Supports 250 Mtr. Cable Length and 250 WATT Power.
Unifi Cloud Key V3:
- Deployed Unifi existing Cloud Key V3 for centralized management of the entire wireless network.
- Streamlined configuration, monitoring, and troubleshooting through the Unifi Controller, accessible via the cloud.
- Future-proofing by suggesting the use of Cloud Key Gen2 for new installations.
