Chopta is a small town with green forest cover, It’s a part of Kedarnath Wildlife Sanctuary located in Uttarakhand. It is located at an elevation of 2,709 metres (8,888 ft) above sea level.
Chopta village is surrounded by green forests covered with pine and deodar trees, It’s rich in flora and fauna which also include rare species of birds and musk deer.
The Chopta region famous for trekking as it has many treks and trails cutting through jungles and grasslands. It is an ideal place for bird watchers because of abundance of birds in this region.
